I am a London Baby Photographer, based in Chelsea and recently had the pleasure of photographing a lovely family who invited me into their home to capture their little girl’s 6 month milestone. The session was full of joy, laughter, and precious memories that the family and I will cherish forever.
Our baby photography session
When I arrived at the family’s home, I was greeted by the proud parents and their adorable baby girl. The little one was already dressed in a cute little romper with a bunny motif, and her parents had set up a cosy corner in the living room for us to take photos in. The family was dressed in neutral colours and had a beautiful light and airy home with lovely windows that lend itself perfectly for the occasion – a London baby photographer’s dream 🙂 . We started with some family shots, and I could see the love and tenderness that the parents had for their child. They were so gentle and nurturing, and it was clear that their little girl was their whole world.
As we moved on to individual shots of the parents with the baby, she was full of energy and curiosity, exploring her surroundings and flashing us her loveliest smiles.
Next, we took some photos in the parents’ bedroom with everyone snuggling together on the large bed. During my baby photography sessions, I will always be sure to capture a range of images in different locations of your home, such as the living room, bedroom and/or baby’s nursery. I will also capture you in different constellations – of course both parents with the little one, each parent with the baby, and the baby alone as well, so that you will have a variety of images to choose from and enjoy.
My baby photography style
My style and approach to photography is natural, fun and relaxed. I am all about capturing the essence of your family and particularly love in-home baby photography as families hold plenty of special memories here and tend to be at their most comfortable.
I will work around you and baby’s schedule, allowing for plenty of breaks for feeding or changing as necessary. I will ensure everyone feels comfortable and as a mother to two young children myself, I have some tricks up my sleeve to ensure your littles will be engaged and will enjoy our session together. Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes but I’ll be flexible and adjust to your and your little one’s needs. I usually recommend picking the morning around 9:30 or 10am for baby photography as that’s when little ones tend to be at their happiest
Planning your own session
As a London baby photographer, it is always an honour to capture such precious moments in the lives of the families I work with. I am grateful for this wonderful session in Chelsea and look forward to meeting the family again for another milestone shoot as their little daughter grows.
