Welcoming a new baby into the family is one of the most magical experiences in life. As parents, we often feel like we want to capture and cherish every single moment. As a newborn photographer, I might be a little biased! However, there are many reasons why having newborn photos taken is worth it, and in this article, I’ll share five of them with you.

With two children myself, I know what it’s like!

I would definitely encourage you to take plenty of photos yourself, from those first few minutes in hospital to the everyday moments as a new family. My husband took photos and videos of both of our children and I when they were less than five minutes old and those are some of my most prized possessions! Once home from hospital, it’s usually the mother taking all images and you’ll therefore be absent in most of them.
