Providing you the best experience | London Family Photographer

Feb 13, 2023 | Family Photography

Thank you for considering me as your London family photographer. Whether you are about to become a new mother, already have a family, or perhaps want to document your little one’s important milestones, I would love to photograph these moments for you. Read on to learn more about my approach and your photoshoot experience with me.

My Approach

As a London maternity and family photographer, I love creating images with you that will become a timeless record of unique moments in your life. Taking an editorial-style approach, I will provide gentle guidance during our photoshoot together to deliver natural, warm and emotive images of you and your loved ones.

As you spend time together as a family, I aim to take candid and engaging photographs that tell your unique story. I work using natural light only as I love the soft and organic photos it creates. You can also visit my portfolio for examples of my maternity, newborn and family photoshoots that took place in London. You can also browse some other blog posts for some inspiration, such as this maternity photoshoot or this baby photoshoot.

Before we meet

Once you have reserved a date, I always offer a complimentary pre-shoot consultation via phone or email to answer any questions you may have and will provide styling support. As a family photographer, I love helping with outfits for our session together and am happy to share suggestions, depending on whether we are planning your maternity, newborn or family shoot here in London.

I will also send you a short questionnaire to ask about your preferences and to gather some details about what you have in mind for the shoot. It is my job to make you feel comfortable and getting to know your family better will enable me to do so.

On the day

When we meet, we’ll spend a moment to chat through the location we have chosen, ensuring we have some lovely light-filled spots, whether that’s in your home or outdoors. If you have children already, I will spend time with them, getting to know them and making them feel comfortable.

During the shoot, we simply let each moment unfold – I love taking candid images when you’re not looking at the camera and you’re simply spending time with your loved ones. These are the most magical and timeless images. Of course I will also take some more posed images with everyone looking at me if you’d like to have a mix of both.

As a family photographer, I’ll always be flexible around breaks for your children or newborn feeds as required. Likewise if you’re currently pregnant, we will take it easy and allow for as many breaks as needed.

After the shoot

I aim to send you a handful of sneak previews a day or two after we meet. After this, I carefully hand edit all images which is the most time intensive part of my job. I take pride in selecting and refining each image to deliver a gallery you will love.

I typically deliver 30+ images which you will receive in a secure online gallery that you can share with your loved ones. All images are yours to keep and there is no need to make a selection. I usually deliver a mix of colour and black & white images, but will adjust according to your preferences.

About me

I am a West London family photographer specialising in timeless and natural lifestyle images. In addition to newborn photography, I also provide maternity and family photography in and around West & Central London. Do get in touch even if you live outside these areas and we can arrange something. If you’d like to capture your motherhood journey through photography, please don’t hesitate to contact me here.
